If your ac is cold there is NO reason for an “AC Service” AC freon is not changed like engine oil is. It is a sealed system. If the ac is not cold, now there is a reason diagnostics. If can either be from a leaking component, an electrical problem with a component or a hvac duct problem inside the car. Here is a simplified picture of the components that the freon runs through.
